UrbanLoop comes to maturity 2-11-2022
Based on the PRT concept, UrbanLoop's testing, and relationship with the
regulator, French authorities have mapped a 2-phase plan for UrbanLoop.
Phase 1, 2024-25: A 2.2 km, 3-station, 10 pod, 240 pph system in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, west of Paris, connecting parking to the National
Velodrome and an aquatics center. This differs from
a previous announcement of a system east
of Paris in Noisiel, serving the canoeing/kayaking venue.
Phase 2, 2026: A section of abandoned railway in Nancy will be used for
a 2 km, 3-5 station system between the city le centre and a park & ride;
at the same time a bike/pedestrian path will be created. This system is in
Nancy's current overall transport plan.
