He was returning from a road safety ministerial in Prague, where he appeared Oct. 2. A new Indian company, iSky, has been formed and is partnering with Belarus's uSky, hoping to implement the system in India.

Autotren underway 6-11-2023
Mexico homegrown PRT system "Autotren" is
under construction in the city of Tlaxcala (pop. 90,000). This
initial Stage 1 of three stages is expected to begin service
by the end of 2023. Meeting this target
would make it the world's second urban PRT application (after
Morgantown, WV). The company
is investing $16 million;
the state infrastructure secretary says there will be no
public contribution.

Minor malfunction 1-11-2023
There was a small fire on a West Virginia University PRT vehicle January 10. The malfunction occurred at the Health Sciences station; there were passengers on board but no one was injured. The local fire department said the fire was "not sustained," and was caused by an electrical arc where the car draws power from the power rail.

Group started by Hartsfield-Jackson Airport-area property owners hopes to start PRT feasibility study with the MARTA transit agency, hosted the 2021 Podcar City Conference.
A PRT feasibility study program begun by Community Improvement Districts in the Hartsfield-Jackson airport region in 2018 has reached a milestone. Stakeholders from various public jurisdictions including College Park, counties, the state Department of Transportation, and the MARTA transit agency officially got on board the effort, signing a memo of agreement July 18, 2023. The next step of the program is an international RFP for a pilot project to be built at the Georgia International Convention Center (in College Park).
