First Glydways client system 9-19-2024
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport reaches deal to make Glydways part of multi-pronged transit approach. A 3-station, .49 mile pilot project will likely launch in 2025. Metro Atlanta Transit and the airport LID will split the $20 million cost. If the pilot is successful, an expansion could be operational in 2030.

The US Department of Transportion has awarded $6.4 million to West Virginia University for its PRT system, according to news releases from that state's US Senate delegation. The funding will be used to repair and improve the PRT's station platforms, stairs, and guideways. Opened in 1975, the system carries 15,000 riders per day across the university's Downtown, Evansdale, Engineering, and Health Sciences campuses. 7-1-2024

PRT plans unveiled in Mumbai 3-6-2024
The Maharashtra state government has granted approval for a 'pod taxi' project in Mumbai. An 8.8 km, 38 station route would link two rail stations in the upscale Bandra-Kurla Complex. The BKC is one of a number of business/residential districts which were created to take growth pressure off Mumbai's central business district. Aside from an estimated cost of $123 million and a 5,000 sq. m. 'depot,' no other project details are known.

PRT evacuated 2-29-2024
The Daily Athenaeum at West Virginia University reported the PRT was evacuated following an unspecified mechanical failure between Beechurst and Engineering stations. The incident occurred Feb. 28 at 9:30 a.m. and lasted 5 hours, during which buses provided service. A video shows 4 vehicles stopped on the guideway, passengers on foot being guided to an exit.
