PRT Idea
I think that with the current climate PRT should emphasize the anti- terrorist aspects, inherent safety, and security features. PRT can have all of the good features of a car and light rail with none of the bad.
      Some thoughts:
      Programmed separation of PRT
Routing of suspects to police or safe containment
      Sensors in PRT

PRT is non-partisan [re: Follow The Money (5/14)]
When did this argument get divided along ideological boundaries? I find this quite distressing... This is simply a terrific solution to our overcrowded roads. I always thought of it as inherently non-partisan.
I can see how there would be disputes in how it is implemented, specifically whether it is funded privately or by the government. I'd welcome either, but realistically it would probably need some degree of assistance from the government.
One great aspect about PRT is that it brings to the table something for everyone. It is more efficient and pollutes less than automobiles, good news for greens and liberals. It improves the economy by making the most of our time and providing an efficient way to transport goods. And since it can operate at a profit, small- government conservatives and libertarians win also.
I'm a conservative and would love to unite with the whole political spectrum on this one. I just don't see why there is division unless it is argument for the sake of argument.
Well, keep up the good fight. I've been watching this for years and I appreciate all you provide on your website.
