What's New

Jan. 28, 2011: Conversion of archived comments (almost) DONE!

Jan. 13, 2011: Slowwwwwly working my way through conversion of old reader comments from Haloscan to Talkback. Completed through August 2007.

Jan. 2, 2011: Annual Eritas makeover.

Jan. 1, 2011: Thanks you for your generosity, new donors! Otherwise, 2010 year end fundraiser really sucky, will manage to cover hosting costs but nothing more.

Jan. 27, 2010: From this month forward, <OBJECT> content in Wiseline/Eritas have been replaced with php includes. As a result, the blog now looks OK in MSIE. I may do this for previous months.

Jan. 23, 2010: The Haloscan commenting service becomes a victim of JS-Kit planned obsolescence in February. Therefore beginning that month the blog starts using the Talkback comment engine. I have the old messages in an archive file, and when I feel like it I may recreate them in Talkback.

Jan. 9, 2010: We have raised enough through donations to pay for 90% of this year's hosting fees. Thanks, donors!

Jan. 5, 2008: Embedding the archive index in the left sidebar doesn't give the kind of functionality I want, so the index is now going to be on the Best Of page.

Jan. 4, 2008: Rolling out re-engineered Wiseline pages. Not too different appearance-wise, but I've implemented embedded objects to handle blog entries and updating the blogroll.

Biggest change: if you read the Frames version of Wiseline, you will no longer need to click through to the Archive to comment.

Archives will gradually be updated with the new functions.
